Nikon Archer’s Choice Max
The Archer’s Choice Max rangefinder, unlike its predecessor, has a function to select a priority target. At the same time, it was repeatedly noted that his orange aiming mark glows too brightly, therefore, in conditions of low illumination, it completely overlaps the target. But the more powerful range measure device “Nikon RifleHunter 1000” in some cases is scolded, and in others it is praised for the same. Bow hunting is carried out in a more dense twilight than hunting with firearms, and perhaps, the target mark of “Archer’s Choice” is slightly brighter than of “RifleHunter 1000”. But it is possible that this is just a matter of taste.
Leupold vendetta
The Vendetta is a range finder that can be mounted on a straight bow, so it is especially attractive to hunters. The range finder, whose aiming mark is synchronized with the sight sight, and the readings of which can be read on a full stretch of the bow – this is a hunter’s dream. What might not like it here? Obviously, only the installation process rangefinder. Many archers who purchased this device spent too much time installing it, and some did not manage to do it.
Here are some of the problems faced by the owners of this rangefinder: the problem with the synchronization of the flies and the aiming mark of the rangefinder, the problem that the rangefinder blocks the front sight of the bow, the cable of the control panel is too short, and it does not allow the instrument to be set correctly on bow. Not entirely clear what the source of the difficulty is in is the incorrectness of the construction or the complexity of the installation influences it, you will have to understand all this But the good news is that those hunters who managed to put a range finder on the bow and synchronize the sight with the laser rangefinder, really liked the Vendetta. We hope that Leupold is not going to remove this rangefinder from production and will refine its design so that the installation process will become much easier.
If you know how to work with your hands and are ready to spend a lot of time installing a range finder on a bow, then the Vendetta is the range finder for you. We, the rest, can only wait until a new version of this rangefinder is born. Opti-Logic Micro II
The easiest rangefinder in the world. It weighs only 99 g. “Opti-Logic Micro” is made specifically for bow hunting. The measurement range of this device is from 4 to 800 m (for the Micro I – 91.5 m). The Micro II, as well as the range finders of the Opti-Logic XT series, can measure the linear distance to the object, the elevation angle of the target and the ballistic compensated distance to the target. The internal display of this rangefinder has three backlight levels: weak, medium and bright.
By the way, the display is very good – it allows you to see the readings of the range finder under any lighting conditions, even in the dead of night. The range finder does an excellent job of estimating the distance to an object surrounded by other objects. Neither rain nor snow influence the correctness of his testimony. Very good rangefinder for those who are going to practice 3D archery.
